A Dress for the Rehearsal Dinner

Yikes! How did I wind up with such expensive taste?

While reading a wedding blog, I realized that it would be fun to get a nice simple dress to wear to the rehearsal dinner. Especially since, ya know, I don't really own a dress that's more than casual.

I stumbled across www.anthropologie.com, poked around and fell in love with this dress:



Upon realizing that this dress costs $260, I did a facepalm and went poking around some other sites. Whereupon I fell in love with this lovely, simple dress:



Then I realized that this dress costs $225. >_< Darn, this necklace would go so well with it too!




This dress is a possibility I guess, it's on sale for $90 at the moment, which is what I had in mind for a rehearsal dinner dress:



But I'm not sure I like it well enough to spend $90 on. It's a bit....ruffly for my tastes. And I don't like the colors it comes in very much.


Well, back to the drawing board. I'm not sure where else to go looking at this point, so I'll just stare longingly at the Dresses-Not-Meant-to-Be for a while. *drools longingly*

Wedding Bands -- How to Choose?

I have absolutely no idea how I'm going to decide on a wedding band! I know that I want something fairly thin -- 2 or 3mm wide. And I know that I want something that can be easily resized over the years -- so nothing with a design or pattern all the way around the band. But beyond that...there is so much out there that I like! Haha, totally the opposite of my experience picking out an engagement ring. XD


I love the sweet and simple, traditional bands:




But I like the more elaborate ones as well!














How will I ever decide! I may just leave it entirely up to John to pick for me.
